Terrace Heights is a community in east Edmonton, named for a small subdivision in the area dating back to 1912. The community’s boundaries are found at the Fulton Ravine to the north and east, Terrace Road and 98 Avenue to the south, and 75 Street/Wayne Gretzky Drive to the west. The community was developed primarily in the 1950s, and the residential use is mixed; around 50% of the real estate here is single-family detached homes with a few scattered duplexes, nearly 25% is found in low-rise apartments and condos, and a further 20% is found in mid-rise buildings. The remainder of residences here are found in the Hardisty Care Centre, a nursing home. The population is 2,424, with Terrace Heights residents split between renters and homeowners.

Terrace Heights’ location allows easy access to downtown Edmonton, located across the river to the west, Concordia University, and the University of Alberta, as well as the trendy Whyte Ave/Old Strathcona district. Extensive industrial employment areas are also within a short drive, whether in north-east, east, or south Edmonton. Many commercial amenities can be found nearby, whether at Capilano Mall or the nearby Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, as well as in the greater downtown area. Numerous businesses are also located within Terrace Heights, especially nearer Capilano Mall and along 101 Avenue. Terrace Heights is partially surrounded by green space, with the Fulton Ravine wrapping around the north and east boundaries of Terrace Heights, and further green space also exists within the community. Together, these spaces offer picnic facilities, a playground, sports fields, and more. A branch of the Edmonton Public Library is also located here. Argyll Centre is Terrace Heights' only school, while many other schools are located in adjacent communities.
