Paisley is a small, developing community in far south-west Edmonton, within the Heritage Valley area. Paisley's boundaries are found at 28 Avenue SW to the south, 141 Street to the west, Heritage Valley Trail to the east, and the adjacent community of Graydon Hill to the north. The community began development in the 2010s, with the community meant to be primarily low-density housing such as single-family detached homes, with some medium-density development planned along the outer edges of Paisley. The population at the 2016 census was only 484.

Paisley's location allows easy access across south and east Edmonton via the nearby Anthony Henday Drive ring road, and Calgary Trail also provides a quick commute to Nisku, Leduc, and the Edmonton International Airport. Many commercial amenities are found nearby, including at the Heritage Valley Town Centre, across 141 Street, around the intersection of Ellerslie Road and James Mowatt Trail, and a little further at Currents at Windermere or South Edmonton Common. Some green space is planned within Paisley, including a pond and a central park area, oriented around a pipeline right-of-way which extends throughout the community. No schools are planned within Paisley, while Donald R. Getty School, St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary/Junior High School, two planned un-named schools, and the future Dr. Anne Anderson High School are located in adjacent communities.
