Keheewin is a community in south Edmonton, named for Chief Keheewin. He signed Treaty No. 6 in 1876, and the Keheewin First Nation located near Bonnyville also bears his name. The community's boundaries are found at 111 Street to the west, Calgary Trail to the east, 23 Avenue to the north, and the adjacent community of Bearspaw to the south beyond 18 Avenue. Keheewin was developed through the 1980s and 90s, and the community is made up of nearly 50% single-family detached homes and 35% low-rise condo buildings, with the remainder found in scattered duplexes and townhouses. The population is 2,502, with Keheewin residents mostly being homeowners.

Keheewin's location allows easy access to much of south and west Edmonton via the Anthony Henday Drive ring road and Calgary Trail, and downtown Edmonton is just a short drive away along Gateway Boulevard. Good transit connections lead to the nearby Century Park LRT station. Many commercial amenities can be found nearby along the Calgary Trail/Gateway Boulevard corridor, including a Superstore, Save-On-Foods, T&T Supermarket, Homesense, Winners, Petland, Chapters, JYSK, Walmart, and numerous other stores, services, food options, banks, and more. There is a small convenience plaza within Keheewin with a Sobeys and Shoppers Drug Mart, and another shopping area at Century Park, with a Safeway, boutique stores, and services. The large Southgate Centre is also located nearby. There are two large central park areas within Keheewin, offering a playground, sports fields, a skating rink, tennis courts, a skate park, and the Keheewin School. Yellowbird East Community League, Kinsmen Twin Arenas, and the William Lutsky Family YMCA are located within Keheewin, as well as several churches.
