Clareview Town Centre is a community in northeast Edmonton. The community’s boundaries are found at 36 Street to the east, 137 Avenue to the south, 144 Avenue to the north, and the LRT tracks to the west around 50 Street. Development in Clareview Town Centre took place mostly during the 1970s, though some condo buildings have been built since. Residential real estate here is primarily medium-density, with a range of condo buildings, townhouses, and semi-detached homes making up most of the residences in the community. The community has a heavy commercial use as well. Clareview Town Centre’s population is 3,335, with an even split between owners and renters. More than 30% of the residents commute by public transit.
Clareview Town Centre’s location allows easy access to other parts of the city via Yellowhead Trail, including many industrial employment areas, and downtown Edmonton is also easily accessible via 50 Street or the Clareview LRT station in the west part of the community. Many commercial amenities can be found along 137 Avenue, within the Clareview Town Centre community. These include Superstore, Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Best Buy, Michaels, Moores, Bulk Barn, Visions Electronics, and much more. The large Clareview Community Recreation Centre and a branch of the Edmonton Public Library are located centrally. Amenities here include a range of sports facilities, including an artificial turf football field, a pool, fitness centre, arena, meeting rooms, program rooms, a multicultural welcome centre, and a skate park.
