Argyll is a small community in south central Edmonton, named for Sir Douglas Sutherland Campbell, who was the ninth Duke of Argyll. The community was previously known as Edmonton City Heights. Argyll is almost surrounded on three sides by the southern end of the Mill Creek Ravine, which forms a U around the western, northern, and north-eastern boundaries of Argyll. The south and south-eastern boundary of Argyll is found at Argyll Road. The community was developed primarily in the 1950s, and real estate in Argyll is almost entirely comprised of single-family detached homes. A few scattered duplexes also exist here. The population is 777, with the majority of Argyll residents being homeowners.

Argyll’s location allows easy access to downtown Edmonton, Concordia University, and the University of Alberta, as well as the trendy Whyte Ave/Old Strathcona district. Other parts of south Edmonton are also a short drive away. Many commercial amenities can be found nearby, whether at the nearby Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre or in local community-level convenience plazas, as well as around Whyte Ave and in the greater downtown area. Besides some small “pocket parks”, Argyll is nearly surrounded by green space extending into the Mill Creek Ravine. Argyll Park takes advantage of this, offering sports fields, picnic facilities, a playground, and connections to the multi-use trails which continue through the ravine. Also found here are the Edmonton Japanese Community Association, Rockers Athletic Club, and Argyll Velodrome Association. Edmonton Christian Community Church and Restored Word Fellowship are located insdie the community, while Argyll's nearest schools are Hazeldean School, J.H. Picard School, St. Margaret Center for Diverse Learning, and Avonmore Elementary/Junior High School.
