Allard is a community in far south-west Edmonton, within the Heritage Valley area. The community's boundaries are found at 30 Avenue SW to the north, the Blackmud Creek Ravine to the east, 41 Avenue SW to the south, and 127 Street SW/James Mowatt Trail to the west. The community was developed beginning as recently as the late 2000s, and is continuing today. Roughly half of the real estate here is made up of single-family detached homes and nearly 30% of mid-rise condo buildings, with the remainder split between duplexes, townhouses, and low-rise buildings. The population in the 2016 census was 3,113, and the vast majority of Allard residents are homeowners.

Allard's location allows easy access across south and east Edmonton via the nearby Anthony Henday Drive ring road, and Calgary Trail also provides a quick commute to Nisku, Leduc, and the Edmonton International Airport. Many commercial amenities are found nearby, whether at the adjacent Heritage Valley Town Centre, or a little further at Currents at Windermere or South Edmonton Common. Extensive green space exists within Allard, including storm ponds with surrounding multi-use trails, at Blackmud Creek bordering the east edge of the community, or at one of several parks in the community. These parks offer a playground, skating rink, picnic facilities, sports fields, and more. Allard's only school is the Dr. Lila Fahlman School, while St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary/Junior High School and the future Dr. Anne Anderson High School are located in adjacent communities.
